Nevada and the Vegas Strip Numbers are down, while Laughlin's numbers are up.
Numbers reported by the Nevada Gaming Control Board for March (2015) showed gaming revenues for Nevada were down statewide by 3.2%. This was mostly due to a steep decrease of 9.6% on the Las Vegas Strip.
In Laughlin there was more good news and signs of growth.
Laughlin casinos gross gaming revenue was up 4.5% to $49.2 million for the month of March.
These numbers are the highest they have been in any one month since 2012.
Beyond the Vegas Strip other areas in Nevada also fared well.
North Las Vegas and Boulder Highway area casinos reported double digit increases in revenue.
North Las Vegas was up 14.4%
Boulder Strip was up 19%
Downtown Las Vegas was up 4.6%
Reno was up 6.5%
Sparks was up 7.4%
Mesquite was up 0.2%
