Laughlin River Run 2016 - Ink Mayhem Tattoo Convention

9th annual Ink Mayhem 

After years of holding the Ink Mayhem Tattoo Convention at the River Palms/Laughlin River Lodge, this year it has moved to the Colorado Belle on the D Deck (upstairs).  The convention is put on by *Dermal Knowledge Productions.

Ink mayhem will have a variety of attractions. Performers and entertainment additionally but not limited to: Live tattooing, art fusion, Daily tattoo contests, indoor vendor areas, tattoo hostesses, Tattooed biker babe contest, and celebrity artists.

There are some really great artists lined up for you this year, new and returning favorites. This show offers world renowned award winning artists, including the infamous duo Rick Walters and Catfish Carl. 

 Ink Mayhem runs from April 27th through April 30th.    In addition to the tattoo artists, there are many other events going on.   The schedule is:

Laughlin River Run 2016 Rules, Traffic, Parking and Common Sense!

The 34th annual Laughlin River Run returns April 27th through April 30th.

River Run week is one of the busiest times of the year in Laughlin.   

There are only a few rules and reminders to make it safe and a fun enjoyable time for everyone.

• No glass or cans permitted on Casino Drive during the event.
   All alcoholic beverages must be in plastic.

• No nudity.

• No colors.  

• A curfew for minors (under 18 years of age) will be in effect from 6 pm until 5 am. from March 27th through May 1st.

• The state’s mandatory helmet law will be strictly enforced.

Keep the helmet law in mind as you may be crossing borders in the Tri-State area.  Helmets are required in Nevada and California. They are not required in Arizona.  They are also not required at the Avi Casino or the surrounding Fort Mojave Indian Reservation.  

Lane-splitting (motorcyclists riding between cars) is illegal in both Nevada and Arizona, whereas it is legal in California.

No sandals or flip flop type shoes should be worn while on a motorcycle.

Other Tips:  

• Bikers can obtain parking spots at reserved parking sections at most of the casinos.  They even offer reserved, secured lots (for a fee).  
• Space for cars is at a premium, and garages may fill up fast.  Valet is usually limited to only guests of the hotel and can fill up quickly.  
• 
  

• Other parking spots may include the Outlet Mall.  This again may fill up fast, though in the past two years, we have had no problem getting a spot when getting there early enough.     
• In other years around the strip in past years there have also been "Bait Bikes" to deter theft. 

 

• Do not drink and drive or drive and text.

Laughlin River Run 2016 Concerts and Music

Laughlin River Run Concerts and Music for 2016 

The annual bike rally comes to Laughlin from April 27th-30th this year.  Bikes, music, shows, poker runs, and vendors will be going on all over Laughlin. 

Concerts Scheduled this year include:

Friday, April 29th
Creedence Clearwater Revisited

8pm   at the E-Center  (Edgewater Casino)

Saturday, April 30th
Bret Michaels

8pm at the outdoor Harrah's Rio Vista Amphitheater

There are no show or concerts scheduled at the Laughlin Event Center or Riverside Resort this year.

However, as is normal there will be live music all along Casino Drive, inside the Casinos and even on the Riverwalk (at the Loading Dock Stage).    Many of these are near pop bars and food stands and vendors.

In addition to the live music, the Golden Nugget will feature a Lot Party featuring BBQ, beer specials, a Bloody Mary Bar, specialty cocktails and more.

Live entertainment at the Pioneer includes Beau Hodges Band, Cross Cutt, Catbone, Brodie Stewart, Cash Presley and Dogg House

Colorado Belle /  Edgewater

The Loading Dock Stage on the Riverwalk by the Colorado Belle will feature live blues bands (free admission).   At the Center Circle Beer Garden (in front of the main entrance at the Colorado Belle there will also be a DJ.    At the Edgewater the always popular Hogs & Heifers Bar will be set up.

Tropicana Laughlin will have live music on Victory Plaza on Thursday, as well as live music inside at the Tropicana Bar Thursday-Saturday.
