Pizza Slice at Wild Style

We were leery about trying Wild Style after their less than stellar health inspection on 8-8-2014.  We found ourselves walking by and hungry at lunchtime.  So we decided to roll the dice and give it a try.



The Good:

Turns out they make a pretty good slice of pizza at a decent price ($3.49). The cheese was good, didn't seem cheap or cheese-food like. The size was of the slice was good and it had a nice, crisp, thin crust.  It could of used a bit more sauce, however, what was there under the cheese was tasty.   They also serve it in a nice little box, perfect for take out. 

A nice added touch, they have two kinds of beer on tap from Pint's Microbrewery. Even though it is served in a plastic cup it was worth the $4.50.  

 

Next time we may try their burger. The fixings bar looked extensive.  The burgers being served to other customers looked pretty good.    

A Slice and a Beer for about 8 bucks, not too bad.  

There is a nice view of the River on one side of the dining area.  If you can get a table near the window that has been cleared and cleaned. 

The Not-So-Good:

As is somewhat customary at the Edgewater, the service was less than friendly and someone was not cleaning up in the dining area or the counter area.   

After their bad inspection this isn't necessarily a good sign.   They did have their subsequent re-inpsection A Grade posted.

Overall, we recommend the Pizza and Pint's Beer on tap.  Management might want to just keep a reminding their employees about cleaning and being a bit more hospitable.  We will keep an eye on the Southern Nevada Health District Inspections.  Hopefully their one bad one is a thing that will remain in the  past.
