This reversed a net loss of $2.8 million for the same period a year ago. Overall revenue in the fourth quarter increased 8.3 percent to $84.8 million, due largely to higher customer spending in the casino, hotel and food and beverage divisions.
By property net revenue for the quarter was:
Aquarius - Increase by 10.3%
Stratosphere - Increase by 10.4%
Arizona Charlie - Increase by 2.7%
The Aquarius Resort Casino also showed an occupancy increase of 42.2% in the fourth quarter of 2014 compared to 39.8% in the fourth quarter of 2013. Casino revenue increased 9.8% due to increased slot and table revenues.
American Casino & Entertainment Properties has on-going commitments to improve amenities and the look of their properties. At the Aquarius a new resort pool is planned for the area by the Riverwalk where the Amphitheater is. Improvements to the look of the Riverwalk portion of the property have already been completed and a new look to the main entrance is underway.
