The 2017 Laughlin Citizen of the Year will be announced with presentation of a plaque and a proclamation of recognition of community service.
In addition to the regular monthly reports from Laughlin agencies, services, and groups there are also three additional items of general business on the Agenda.
1. Discuss a request by Carrie Larson, Broker, MVP Realty, for a resolution from the Laughlin Town Advisory Board for a proposed nonpartisan Nevada state constitutional amendment known as Marsy’s Law, a victim’s rights legislative bill, and take any action deemed appropriate. (for possible action)
2. Discuss a request by Bob Bilbray, property owner, on behalf of Laughlin and Laughlin Lagoon property owners, for a resolution of support from the Laughlin Town Advisory Board for the dredging and maintenance of the Laughlin Lagoon on the Colorado River through the creation of a special improvement district, and take any action deemed appropriate. (for possible action)
3. Discuss and possibly schedule TAB workshop focusing on short- and long-range priorities, projects, and programs for the town of Laughlin. (for possible action)
