Daniel's Restaurant in the Regency Casino is now the Chuckwagon

Laughlin, Nevada



The popular Daniel's Restaurant in the Regency Casino is now called the Chuckwagon.   

In response to inquiries about the change on the Laughlin Buzz Facebook Group, the Regency posted this statement:

I can assure you that we have no intention of closing the restaurant at this time. Our plan is to provide the same quality food that the Regency Casino has always been known for. We have renamed the restaurant the "Chuckwagon" as it would not have made sense to leave the name as "Daniels" without Daniel actually being involved. 

 Many of you will remember the great food we had at the "Tropical Cow" prior to Daniels leasing the restaurant. We transitioned to Daniels and maintained the same quality. We will not allow this current transition to effect the quality of the product we offer.

 We are working diligently to hire quality staff and make certain that the warm family atmosphere we have provided in the past only gets better.

 We have a long history of providing high quality food at a great value and we are not planning to stop anytime soon.

 Regency Casino



 We look forward to trying the Chuckwagon soon.  Daniel's Restaurant won several Best of Laughlin awards over the past three years.  Including Best Burger in Laughlin for three consecutive years.  

 Hopefully the Chuckwagon continues this nice service with good food. 

 No definitive word has been given on changes to the menu or the popular theme days, such as Burger Wednesday.

Pioneer Casino in Laughlin Closing April 30th

 Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall

 The Current Owners of the Pioneer Casino are closing down as of April 30, 2018.  New owners are scheduled to take over.  Stay tuned for announcements about operations after this date.

This public notice (below) is currently posted (as seen April 1, 2018) at the Pioneer.  





The Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall in Laughlin was recently sold.  Employees of the Pioneer were notified by the old owners, via a letter, that they will cease operations effective at midnight on April 30, 2018.  

In another letter, employees are being offered the opportunity to reapply for positions by the new owners, The New Pioneer, LLC.  They plan to do upgrades and improvements to the property.  

 No word on a reopening date has been announced, or whether the new owners will seamlessly begin operations immediately after April 30th.   




We will share more details and updates as they develop.

Laughlin Property Owners Set To Receive More Than $4 Million in County SID Refunds

LAUGHLIN PROPERTY OWNERS SET TO RECEIVE MORE THAN $4 MILLION IN COUNTY SID REFUNDS!

 LAUGHLIN –-The Clark County Commission, on the motion by Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak on Tuesday voted unanimously for 1572 Laughlin property owners to be able to claim refunds of surplus funds from three Special Improvement Districts. Special Improvement District’s 71A, 74 and 91 were formed in the 1990’s to develop two flood control projects,-- Hiko Springs Detention Basin (formed in 1995) and the 13,000 foot Unnamed Wash Conveyance System (formed in 1994)--- and one transportation project for the improvement of Needles Highway (formed in 1994) in Upper Laughlin in portions of Sections 21,28 and 33 whose prior developers contributed to the capital cost of the three projects. The refunds will be available only to those property owners. 

 The Clark County Treasurer’s Office will send out formal notices and Surplus Refund Claim Forms on March 1st to property tax addresses with both the amount of the refund for each owner as well as notifying them that the Refund Claim Forms must be returned to the Treasurer’s office before April 30, 2018. 

 “In order to assist each owner in their timely filing of the Refund Claims due them, the Laughlin Economic Development Corporation Board will post on or before March 1st the listing of owners to which these refunds are available at the Laughlin Branch Library, Laughlin Regional Government Center, Spirit Mountain Activity Center in View Community Park, Laughlin Community Church, South Pointe Market, Aldape’s Market Place, Kruz-N-Kuts Family Salon, Old Town Saloon, Gnats Landing Tavern and Gilligan’s Tavern on March 1st to assist residents in determining if they have the right to claim a portion of these surplus refunds. 

 FAILURE OF ANY OWNERS TO FILE CLAIMS WITHIN 60 DAYS WILL RESULT IN THE TOTAL FORFEITURE OF ANY RIGHTS TO THE SURPLUS REFUNDS!!” said a statement from the LEDC Board after a meeting on Monday February 19th.
