Tour of a South Tower Room
We prefer the South Tower for ease to access right from the Casino floor. Plus, the rooms apparently have been recently remodeled. The look of them is very similar to the Valley Rooms at Harrah's Las Vegas.
Check in was fast and simple using the self serve kiosks. Apparently, unless you are Platinum or above you are supposed to check in using the kiosks rather than the front desk. As we have not played much at Caesars properties in a year or so, our card is just Gold.
Note: Even though we did get the room comped because our level was not Platinum or above we were charged the nightly Resort Fee of $15.75.
Our room as noted to be a Riverview one. It was near the end of the hall though, so one had to look out of the far corner of the window to get a glimpse of the River. (1st picture below). We had a much better view of the roof. In a previous stay, we did have a better River view (2nd picture below)

| River View Last Time We Stayed
The bed was plain and not made all that neatly with no cover/bedspread. That was fine with us because we always just remove it anyway (never know how often they wash them). It was clean. And, yes, we always check for unwanted critters in ANY hotel we stay at.

The rest of the room was clean, except for two things*.
The entire decor seemed boring and basic. As if they did just enough to make it decent.
The nightstand/tables do not have a drawer. Inconvenient, another cost cut?
There was a small refrigerator tucked in the dresser below the TV.
No extra charge, which is nice.
There was a tiny closet behind a curtain. Inside was a small safe.
The standard (Motel 6 type) Coffee Tea Bag system was set up in the bathroom. For the Resort Fee, how about including a Keurig and a couple pods at least. Or a voucher for a coffee outside the room.
This was better than recent stays at Caesars properties in Vegas where they did not even include one.
Even though we didn't use it, wouldn't it be better placed in the main room such as by the ice bucket instead of the bathroom? Especially with the high-velocity toilet flushing system, they have installed.
On the topic of the commode - if you have bad knees or a back or if you are tall, the height of it can be a challenge. It is very low to the ground. More cost savings apparently.
Basic bathroom amenities were included.
The shower (no tub) was the open door style. Luckily the huge rain style shower head had such low water pressure so the floor did not get all wet. But the low flow caused it to take forever to rinse your hair when showering. A positive was everything was very clean.
* Now for the not so clean.
The sofa or lounge chair type piece of furniture had a stain and a tear. The last time we stayed it had a stain too. This is very uncomfortable piece of furniture anyway.
The heating/cooling system worked perfectly.
But...they still need to clean the vents.
We were given a choice to opt out of room housekeeping and received a $10 credit. That just about covered the Resort Fee. Basic WiFi was included in the Resort Fee and it worked fine. Beach access and pool access is also included. Neither of which were used. Except for a quick walk to look at the beach.
Check out was fast and easy. Even though they made a mistake on our bill, a quick call to the front desk fixed it immediately and we checked out via the TV. Checkout time was said to be 12 noon.
Overall, it was a good stay. We didn't have much luck in the Casino, but the staff was great, and cocktail service on the Casino floor was fast and friendly. We tried a few of the restaurants too, more reviews to be posted soon!
