Laughlin Visitor Numbers for February 2021 down -36.4%

According to the latest LVCVA statistics, visitor counts to Laughlin in February (2021) were 88,400 compared to 138,900 in February of 2020. 

This is a -36.4% decline, which was expected due to the pandemic and restrictions in place. 

The ADR (Average Daily Room Rate) for February was $59.56 compared to $47.28 in February of 2020. This is an increase of 26.0% 

Total Room nights occupied were down -36.7%.

Lack of charter flights caused a fairly significant decrease in the number of visitors.  Visitor counts at the Laughlin/Bullhead City airport for February were just 6,609 compared to 27,233 in February of 2020, a decrease of -75.7% 

By comparison, the Las Vegas saw a  53.8% decrease in visitors for February of 2021.  In Mesquite, who had a increase in gaming revenue of 5.08%, there was a only a -12% decrease in visitor numbers.

Laughlin 2020 Visitor Summary

In 2020, due to the pandemic, visitor numbers to Laughlin decreased by over 800,000. 

Total visitors to Laughlin in 2020:    1,029,900            

Total visitors to Laughlin in 2019:    1,829,700        

This was a year to year decrease of ‐43.7%

February (2021) Gaming Revenue for Laughlin Down -30.81%

Due to the pandemic and restrictions Laughlin Casino gaming revenue 
as reported by the Nevada Gaming Control Board was down as expected in February.  

The February 2021 report showed a -30.81% decrease compared to February of 2020.

February 2021 Gaming Revenue in Laughlin was $32,814,179 compared to $47,425,947 in February of 2020.

The Laughlin decrease was the 2nd largest drop in Clark County but not nearly as bad as the Las Vegas Strip, which was down  -41.55% 

In Mesquite, NV, Casino gaming revenue was once again reported up, this time 5.08% in February 2021 compared to February of 2020.

Visitor Numbers for Laughlin in January of 2021 down 39.7%

According to the latest LVCVA statistics, visitor counts to Laughlin in January (2021) were 82,600 compared to 137,000 in January of 2020. 

This is a  -39.7% decline. 

The ADR (Average Daily Room Rate) for January was $52.43 compared to $38.60 in January of 2020. This is an increase of 35.8%. 

Total Room nights occupied was down 40%.

Visitor counts at the Laughlin/Bullhead City airport were 6,135 compared to 23,015 in January of 2020, a decrease of 73.3%

By comparison, the Las Vegas Strip saw a -63.5% decrease in visitors for January of 2021.  In Mesquite, who had a increase in gaming revenue of 6.3%, there was a -12% decrease in their visitor counts.
