Laughlin Gaming and Visitor Numbers for January 2022


Laughlin, NV 

The LVCVA released the latest statistics on visitor numbers for the January of 2022.   A look at the data shows that visitor volume was up slightly by 1.3% compared to last January 2021.  

However, the number of visitors is still down by -41.1% when compared to January of 2019, when there was no impact from the pandemic. 

Laughlin Visitor Volume 

Jan. 2022: 83,700 

Jan. 2021: 82,600

Jan. 2019: 142,200  (no pandemic)

Average Daily Room rates were down -7.3% compared to January of last year, however they are up +30.7% compared to January of 2019 when there was no impact from the pandemic. .   

2022:  $48.58 

2021:  $52.43

2019:  $37,17  (no pandemic)

Visitors via Laughlin/Bullhead City Airport  are up +90.3% compared to January of last year, however are still down -46.9% compared to January of 2019 when there was no pandemic. 

2022:  11.672 

2021:  6,135

2019:  21,968  (no pandemic)

The important statistic, Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) is down -6.1% comparing January of 2022 vs. 2021 and down -9.2% comparing January of 2022 vs. 2019 when there was no pandemic. 

2022:  $18.99 

2020:  $20.24 

2019:  $20.93

In spite of declining visitor numbers, Gaming revenue for January 2022 is up 25.8% when compared to January of last year.  It is still down -9.4% compared to the last non-pandemic year, 2019.

2020:  $33,489,000
