Laughlin: December and 2015 Visitor Volume Down

Laughlin, Nevada



In the monthly and year end reports by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Laughlin showed a decrease in visitor volume for the month of December as well as for the calendar year 2015.

December numbers showed Visitor Volume was down -5.6%  (compared to the same period in 2014).

The rest of the numbers for December were also down. 

Total occupancy was down -1.6%
Average Daily Room Rate was down -3.3%
Total room nights occupied was down -5.8%
Room inventory was down -2.4%

 Laughlin/Bullhead City Airport plane passenger numbers were down -21.4%

However, average daily auto traffic was up 4.3%

For entire calendar year 2015, LVCVA reported:
Laughlin Visitor Volume was down -5.1%  (1,887,853 visitors)

Laughlin Nevada 

 The good news? In spite of the lower visitor volume, gross gaming revenues for the calendar year (2015) increased 1.7% to $467.276 million (compared to 2014).  



*Numbers are comparisons based on the same month for the previous year.  Yearly numbers are compared to the prior year.
