Aquarius Casino in Laughlin posts Revenue Decrease for 2015

American Casino & Entertainment Properties LLC is the owner of the Stratosphere, Aquarius Casino Resort, and two Arizona Charlies Casinos.

Aquarius Casino reported a decrease in Revenue for the 4th quarter of 2015.

Hotel revenue, Hotel Occupancy and Casino Revenue also dropped for the entire year 2015, compared to 2014.   Only Food and Beverage revenue was up for 2015.

- Fourth quarter revenue decreased of 3.1% compared to 2014

The 2015 full year numbers for the Aquarius showed:

Hotel revenue decreased 3.2% in 2015 

Hotel Occupancy decreased to 39.9% in 2015 compared to 42.2% in 2014. 

Casino revenue decreased 3.4% due to decreased slot, table, and race and sports revenue. 

Food and beverage revenue increased 4.2% due to a higher average check per cover.



The breakdown for the other properties for the fourth quarter were:

Stratosphere, fourth quarter net revenue rose 13.8%

Arizona Charlie’s fourth quarter net revenue fell 0.9%

Overall, however, ACEP, showed a revenue and profit growth for for the fourth quarter of 2015 and the 2015 full year.

Fourth quarter revenue was $89.3 million, up 5.3%
For the full year 2015 net revenue was $373.1 million, up 6.3% from 2014.
Fourth quarter earnings were $3.3 million
For the full year 2015 net income was $12.1 million, compared to $7 million in 2014.
