Is the Laughlin Casino & Hotel sector rebounding from the pandemic?

 Laughlin, NV

Overall Laughlin is seeing more gaming revenue from fewer visitors.   This is only one factor that will determine how well the Laughlin properties are rebounding.  Room rates are up, dining and food costs are up, there are employee shortages, and the important Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) number is down.

This is a comparison of Laughlin Visitor and Gaming data thus far in 2021 with 2020 and 2019.   During 2020 the start of the pandemic began and there were closures of the Casinos for several months.  2019 was the last year when there was not a pandemic and had no closures.

2019  $353,716,000 (Year to Date through August 2019)

Gaming Revenue is up +45.7% in 2021 compared to 2020 (when there were Casino Closures).  However, Gaming Revenue is down ‐5.5% in 2021 compared to 2019 (when there was no pandemic, no closures and no restrictions).
