Update 3/5/16

It is now official, as we shared Kid Rock will be at the Laughlin Event Center on May 21st. Tickets go on sale March 11th at Tickemaster.

For those who remember, Kid Rock last had a concert at the Aquarius Casino back in 2008.   It was held in the former outdoor amphitheater right next to the Laughlin Riverwalk.  Pics below are from that show*.

Laughlin Event Center Concerts for 2016

Four concerts are already scheduled for the 2016 season at the Laughlin Event Center.

March 4th - Lady Antebellum
April 16th - Steve Miller Band
May 6th - Miranda Lambert
June 18th - Brand Paisley 

As more are added, we will include them in this listing.  Watch for several expected for the fall.

The Laughlin Event Center is an open, outdoor concert space.

Seating in the Laughlin Event Center

Each concert has different pricing and may have different configurations of seating.  However, the standard "floor" seating, grandstand seating, and bleacher seating are shown below. Check the ticket prices and seating available at laughlineventcenter.com 

Depending how much you want to pay for a ticket, there are many options.  Sections 101-102-103 and even 105 offer the best views are are the highest priced (regular tickets).  The luxury or VIP section right in front of the stage is even more.  *Each show may differ as to the seats available in front of the stage. 

There are also three suites (S1-S2-S3) and three Dream Seats Sections D1-D2-D3.   

Tickets in sections 201-202-203 are considered to be grandstand seats and they do have chairs with back on them.  Seating in the Bleachers (section 301-302-303) are metal bleachers, no backs and smaller space.  They also involve some step climbing to reach them. 

Our recommendation if you can pick your tickets, no matter what section you are in--try to not be in the middle of the row.  Getting in and out is a small challenge when the show is going on. Section 202 in the first 2 or three rows, on either end are the best mid priced tickets.

Where is the Laughlin Event Center?

It is located just behind the Laughlin Outlet Mall.  

No on site parking is available.  All the major Casinos do offer free shuttle/bus to and from the Laughlin Event Center.  The walk is not too far, though it is uphill on the way there.   Parking is also normally available in the outlet center parking lot at no charge.  The section of Bruce Woodbury between Casino Drive and Thomas Edison that runs alongside the Event Center is generally closed to traffic on concert days, from 4pm to 11pm.

Here is the seating chart for the Alan Jackson concert.  Each show at the Laughlin Event Center has slightly different configuration and pricing.     Tickets can be purchased online here.

As of the date of this post, May 4th, the majority of tickets in all sections except the Blue section are sold or close to being sold out.   Different Casinos may have other tickets available through the packages they are offering. Check with your favorite one if you are looking for tickets.  

A few reminders about attending events at the Laughlin Event Center.

• The new event center is located just up from Casino Drive, behind the outlet mall.   
• There is no no on site parking at the Event Center.  
• Hotels and Casinos generally operate shuttle service (free) and there is free event parking at the mall.   It is also a short walk (albeit uphill on the way) from Casino Drive.    
• They also close Bruce Woodbury from Casino Drive to Thomas Edison from 4pm to 11pm on the night of concerts.  
• No outside food or beverage allowed in venue.  
• Management reserves all rights.  Subject to change or cancellation.  All sales are final.  
• Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult

Since this is a Saturday night concert Casino Drive will be busier than usual.  Get there early, relax and enjoy the show.

Los Tigres Del Norte at Laughlin Event Center

Los Tigres Del Norte will perform live in concert at the all new, Laughlin Event Center

Show date:  Saturday, May 3, 2014 

Paquita la del Barrio will be the opening act.   

Los Tigres del Norte is a five-time Latin Grammy Award winning group who have recorded more than 55 albums.   In the U.S. and Mexico they have sold more than 32 million records.    Tickets are $45-$65 dollars and can be purchased online at the Laughlin Event Center Website.

Showtime is 8pm, with gates opening at 6:30PM

Just days to go until the Laughlin Event Center Opens

We had to visit the Laughlin Outlet Mall today and saw that they still had not put the Laughlin Event Center sign up.  It should be anytime now, perhaps it was even done after we had left.   The main sign and the Reba McIntyre sign (she performs March 15th) was on the ground ready to go up.

The mall parking lot there backs up into the Event Center property.   From the mall parking lot you can see into the back of the event center.  We stopped to take a look and crews were busy clearing the brush and working in the narrow area between the Laughlin Event Center fence and the wall of the mall parking lot.   Perhaps a barrier or wall of some sort is going up?

Construction is still going on along Bruce Woodbury, only one lane is open by the Event Center site.  Here is the best picture we could snap of the configuration and seating for the first show, Championship Bull Riding, on March 8th.  

With just over a week to go until the Laughlin Event Center is set to open, there appears to be much work to be done still.  We can't wait to see the finished project.

Laughlin Event Center - under construction!

Marnell Gaming, which owns the Colorado Belle and Edgewater casino-hotels in Laughlin is building a new event center that is set to open in February of 2014.

We took a drive by the site to see how the construction is progressing.    So far, other than a set of bleachers, landscaping, etc, there wasn't too much to see.   These pics of from the second week of January 2014.

The seating has been called modular.  At this point, the only seating noticeable appears to be one set of very large metal bleachers.

We hope this will differ from the very uncomfortable and small seating on the bleachers that were used at shows last year at the temporary Laughlin Amphitheater on the River.

The Edgewater Hotel Casino is at the end of Bruce Woodbury Drive as it connects to Casino Drive.

The Laughlin Event Center (when complete) will be on 15-20 acres behind the Laughlin Outlet Mall on Bruce Woodbury Drive.   This is just a short walk (uphill) of about a long block from Casino Drive.  Estimated cost of the project is 4 million dollars.  So far our pictures don't show this expenditure, but the project is far from complete.

Reba McEntire is set to return to Laughlin as the first concert at the new venue (March 15th).   The seating chart for the Laughlin Event Center is available where they are selling tickets.  See the seating chart (for Reba only) here. 

In addition to concerts they will host bull riding, rodeos, boxing, festivals, and comedy acts.  The event center is being built in modular sections so they can accommodate  9,300 to 21,000 guests.

Already scheduled for 2014 are Alan Jackson, Los Tigres Del Norte/Paquita, and Larry the Cable Guy as the headliner for the Laughlin Comedy Festival on October 4th.

No parking is expected to be on site.  Shuttles will most likely be used from the other Casino properties, and it is only a short walk from the center section of Casino Drive.

Reba - back in Laughlin

Reba McIntyre was one of the big concerts to hit Laughlin last year.  She will be coming back to Laughlin this spring.  Her show is scheduled to be the first one at the all new, outdoor, Laughlin Event Center (still under construction as of mid January 2014).

The Laughlin Event Center is going to be located on Bruce Woodbury Drive, just a long block up from Casino Drive in Laughlin.  The venue will be just behind the Laughlin Outlet Mall.   While it remains to be seen what the seating will exactly look like, there is already a seating chart for the REBA concert on the Edgewater and Colorado Belle Casino ticket sales page.    See below:

Tickets and pricing for the Reba show are listed as follows.  Colors correspond to the seating chart above.

A quick browse of the seating chart* by us today, showed that there are NO seats available in the closest sections 101, 102, 103, or 105.   There are also no seats listed as available for the $250 and $350 sections listed by numbers 1, 2, 3.  The bulk of the seats gone in the other sections are in the far back (and may be the portions that hotels and casino's have reserved as comps for players and for sale to their customers).   

*subject to change by the promoters, check with the Casino for up to date info. 

Keep in mind, the Laughlin Event Center is estimated to feature modular seating where it can seat for concerts and shows varying from 9,300 to 21,000 guests.  How far or close the seating is remains to be seen until they unveil the opening of the venue.  This is expected to be complete in February of 2014, at an estimated cost of 4 million dollars.  

See the ticket sales page on the Edgewater Casino site.  All the other Casinos are most likely offering room and show packages as well.  Check around for the best deal. 

See our blog and review of the Reba concert from last year here.  This took place at a different location. Prices last year ranged from $45-$125, so this year's pricing at the new center is higher.  

We are also wondering if by modular they mean metal bleachers and plastic folding chairs.  This is what was used at the old Laughlin Event Center concert last year.   We look forward to finding out.
