Bumbleberry Flats at the New Pioneer

Laughlin, NV
Bumbleberry Flats
The New Pioneer
(Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall)

Our last visit to Bumbleberry Flats was long before the new Owners took over in May of 2018.   For a long time, it was one of our favorite dining choices in Laughlin.   Just a couple of days ago we were invited out for dinner at Bumbleberry, so we were excited to try it again.

The Staff in the entire Casino was very good, very friendly and prompt.  The two servers who helped out at our table in Bumbleberry were excellent.   One of them highly recommended the barbecue ribs.  *The menu had only changed slightly since our last visit, so it was hard to decide.

They only had a couple orders of the Ribs left so we went with that choice.  It turned out to be a good one.

The 1/2 rack of ribs was huge, cooked perfectly, with a good sauce (not too spicy, which we dislike).  The ribs were served with corn on the cob, 2 fritters, and baked beans.  Chicken and Waffles was another choice at our table (sorry no picture). This turned out to be another really good item.

*We did notice the Brisket and Prime Rib was noted on the menu as only available on Friday and Saturday.  Both of which we may have had instead of the Ribs.

We also all shared the Fried Pickles. Again, no picture, because everyone starting eating them right away!  They were very good.

Before dinner we stopped in Sassy Sue's Bar.  The bartender was friendly and fast with bringing us an 805.

Sassy Sues has a great river view, cold beer (many on tap), and (sometimes) a hot machine.  No luck this time but we only played for a short while.

After dinner, we played a few machines on the Casino floor.  Drink service was fast and friendly.

Even though some of the exterior of the Casino, mostly the lighting, needs some TLC, we enjoyed our visit to Bumbleberry Flats and the bar overlooking the River.  We will definitely be back sometime again.

Finally, we can't say enough about the staff, who are doing their best to give guests an enjoyable experience.  Great job, thank you!
