Laughlin, NV Visitor Volume down 2.2% in August

Laughlin, NV Visitor Numbers down for August, still up for the year 2016 
Laughlin, Nevada





Visitor volume in Laughlin fell for the month of August (2016) 
compared to the same period (August 2015)

2016: 161,507 
2015: 165,200 
Down -2.2%






Total occupancy also fell -0.1 percent to 63 percent 
Total room nights occupied fell -1.2 percent
Average daily room rate increased 5.8 percent to $53.24 
RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) increased 5.6 percent to $33.54 
Airplane Passengers at Laughlin/Bullhead Airport was down -18.3 percent 
Average daily auto traffic on Highway 163 increased 13 percent.



August was also the month the annual Bullhead Regatta was held.  This event has been discontinued for 2017



In spite of the decrease in August, the year to date numbers still show a slight increase in visitor volume.

2015 YTD: 1,309,117
Year to Date (YTD): +1.5% 


For 2016 thus far, by month, the number of visitors were:

August     165,200     -2.2%       compared to August of 2015
July          188,537     +2.1%       compared to July of 2015
June         165,670     6.0%        compared to June of 2015
May          162,466    -0.2%        compared to May of 2015 
April          171,516    +5.9%       compared to April of 2015
March       176,338    +1.3%       compared to March of 2015
February  157,426     +3.4%      compared to February of 2015
January    139,869     -5.5%       compared to January of 2015









In other news, the Gaming Revenue for August in Laughlin was up 2.65% to 36,063,215  for the month of August 2016.   Read more here
