Cafe Aquarius at the Aquarius Casino Resort
We stopped in to redeem "free play" one afternoon and decided to grab lunch. Outback Steakhouse, also located in the Aquarius, had disappointed the last time we had tried it. We realized we had been to Cafe Aquarius in about 3 years. Since we had plenty of comps (so it would also be a "free" lunch) we stopped in.
The sign outside the cafe showed they had new menu items, all at fairly reasonable prices.
Our visit was on a weekday and there were only a handful of other people dining.
Service was fast and good.

We ordered the Tempura Shrimp ($9.99) and the Slider Sampler ($9.99, one of the New Temptations from the sign). Both were from the appetizer section of the menu.

Tempura Shrimp at the Cafe Aquarius
Even though the Tempura Shrimp was an appetizer it came with fries and coleslaw. The shrimp was good, as were the fries.

Slider Sampler at Cafe Aquarius |
The prime rib slider was very good, definitely the best of the trio. Although the Cafe Aquarius also features some good Burgers, the slider was a bit dry and just average. The pulled pork slider may have been good but it was smothered with far too much sweet barbecue sauce. Next time we would stick with the Prime Rib sandwich or perhaps just a regular full size burger. The pickle spear had seen better days and was left on the plate.
We have heard good things about Cafe Aquarius on our Facebook Groups. Even though we weren't overly impressed with our selections we will probably be back to try some other choices...hopefully before another 3 years passes.
With an iced tea, the two appetizers, tax and tip, it cost us $30 in comps off our players card.
